I have four users here. The key is to NOT synch the entire library to the new iPod. Each user just drags desired music to their iPod. ( If it's synched, then some unwanted stuff may transfer.)

Yes, easy. this is not a problem to have multiple different iPods loading from the same computer.

Plug it in in. On the left side if iTunes there is an area that new devices show up. You can name each of the iPods, and manually sync each one with separate music from the library.

thanks everyone.
I had to upgrade to the newest version of Itunes.
It is now recognizing the new ipod. Tonight I'll be working on setting up folders for each of the ipods.
I was told I could create individual folders for each. I could then move certain music from the main folder to a sub folder and sync just what is in the sub folder to the ipod. Sound about right?? I hope so. This sounds much easier than having to manually pick and choose from the main folder every time you want to change the music on the ipod.

Exactly perfect way to do it! I have three iPods (don't ask why) and have just set up three different folders, one for each. When each syncs, you just check the box by the appropriate folder and bingo!
